The Gauja is the longest river in the territory of Latvia, its length is 452 km. The ancient Gauja valley between Valmiera and Murjani is interesting and attractive for tourists. The largest outcrops are Sietiņiezis, Ērģeļu (eagļu) cliffs, Sarkanās klintis, and Ķūķu rock. There are many caves in the ancient valley of the Gauja - Gutmanis Cave, Big Devil's Cave.
